The Canada Chart depicts Canadian federal and provincial and government information and graphics.

Fonds consists of photographs, scrapbooks of newspaper clippings and memorabilia, correspondence, reports and other textual material. The photographs relate to Mr. Williston’s life from childhood to the late 1990s, the scrapbooks document Mr. Williston’s years in political office, and the textual materials relate to both Mr. Williston’s public life and private interests.

Subseries includes research material created and collected by Kent Sedgwick relating to land survey, development, and settlement in Prince George and British Columbia. Land surveys were conducted in British Columbia by surveyors George Dawson, the North Coast Land Company, Alfred R.C. Selwyn, and the Geological Survey of Canada during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. James C. Anderson and engineer J. Gill conducted topographical surveys for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway on Fort George and the Indian Reserve. Surveyors and land plot companies developed the land for sale to promote settlement in the area. Also includes materials regarding the continued development of the City of Prince George throughout the 20th century. The files primarily consist of newspaper clippings, research notes, and photocopied documents.

File contains postcards portraying life in Prince George, B.C. Images depict street scenes (George Street, Central Avenue, and Hamilton Avenue), government buildings, Hotels, a theatre, a baseball game, and construction of a pier.

File consists of an audio recording of an interview with Ray Williston. Includes three original recorded audio cassettes and three copies.

Item consists of transcript of documentary consisting of forum with prominent members of the forest industry discussing the history of forestry in North Central British Columbia c.1960s-c.1980s. This fonds illustrates Bridget Moran’s careers as a writer, a social worker and a social activist primarily within the Prince George region of British Columbia. This fonds also contains records pertaining to her personal relationships with family and friends and her receipt of various honours and awards.

Types of records reflective of her career as a writer include: published articles and unpublished manuscripts, drafts and front cover mock-ups, correspondence with editors from Arsenal Pulp Press, grant applications, notebooks, background material, writer’s workshop invitations and overviews, photographs, oral history interviews and transcripts, and VHS recordings of classroom talks given by Bridget Moran, Mary John and Justa Monk re: her publications.

Types of records reflective of her career as a social worker and social activist include: annual reports, work journals, correspondence and published newspaper articles re: social policy, photographs, and general background material. Item consists of transcript and tape summary of recorded interview with Gordon Wood, pharmacist, businessman and sports enthusiast who lived in Prince George c.1920s-c.1970s. He discusses various events that impacted Prince George including the Great Depression of the 1930s and set up of relief camps; the set up of army camps during World War II. He also discusses local politicians, his drugstore business and community members.

Item consists of transcript and tape summary of recording and speeches during the Freeman Banquet honouring Harold Moffat, Mayor of Prince George on his retirement as mayor.

Collection consists of 30 audio cassettes containing 46 interviews conducted primarily by radio & TV broadcaster Bob Harkins with local personalities. Most recordings were conducted at CJCI Studios, Prince George. The station was launched in 1970 by Central Interior Radio, broadcasting on 620 AM. In 1983, Central Interior also launched CIBC-FM in the city. Central Interior Radio was acquired by the Vista Broadcast Group in 2005.
