(Northwood Recreation Association) activities; Northwood’s 25-year Anniversary celebrations held at Houston, Upper Fraser, North Central Plywood, Shelley, and Prince George Sawmills, as well as at the Northwood Pulp & Timber mill; silviculture and forest harvesting practices; sawmill and pulp mill general operations; logging camps; the building of logging roads and bridges; and Northwood’s own unique heavy equipment, such as the locomotives, the snowplow and the refurbished 1942 fire engine. Series consists of records created and collected by Gary Runka during and after his time with the British Columbia Agricultural Land Commission. In the early 1970s, Runka served as the first general manager of the BC Agricultural Land Commission, the independent provincial body that has administered BC's Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) for over 40 years. As the first manager, Runka spearheaded the establishment of the ALR undertaking the technical tasks of setting ALR agricultural use boundaries, policies and procedures, as well as the building awareness and support for farmland preservation within government and with the public. He later served as Commission chair. Records include correspondence, informational material, publications, clippings, news releases, memoranda, symposium/conference material, reports, speech notes, and other textual material. Also includes seven maps, two buttons, six floppies, eighty slides, and one audio cassette tape.

Series consists of photographs taken and collected by Kent Sedgwick that primarily depict communities within the Central Interior of British Columbia, especially Prince George, Giscome, and the East Line area. Kent Sedgwick used photography to document the development and history of the natural and built landscape of the British Columbia Central Interior. The photographs depict geographic features, landscapes, previous settlements, architectural history, and industrial history.
Audrey Smedley L'Heureux writing, and journalism career spanned her editorship of the Nechako Chronicle (1964-1971), the Smithers Interior News (1974-1975), and the Alcan Ingot (1976-1977). Through her journalism experience, Audrey L’Heureux gained an interest in British Columbia history and began compiling her research into books.
This series consists of records relating to L'Heureux's writing, including book manuscripts, book reviews, and correspondence about publications. L'Heureux's "From Trail to Rail" book series was her most widely available publication. This series includes:
- "From Trail to Rail: Surveys & Gold, 1862 to 1904" published in 1987;
- "From Trail to Rail: Settlement Begins, 1905-1914" published in 1989; and,
- a third 1983 manuscript tentatively titled "From Trail to Rail: [Out of the Heart of British Columbia]" that was never published.
Draft manuscripts for all three of these publications are included in this series, in both digital and print format. The series also includes research materials for Audrey L'Heureux's first book "Northern B.C. in Retrospect" which was published in 1979.
Adam Zimmerman held many external directorships with companies and organizations outside of Noranda. In these roles, Zimmerman provided a creative contribution and improvement to the company boards by providing dispassionate and objective criticism, as well as and contributing to the development strategy of the company. He was not an employee of these companies; he held these external directorships roles while simultaneously being a senior executive with Noranda.
The records in this series are only a representative fraction of the external directorships held by Zimmerman. These include board of director records from Algoma Steel, Koninklijke Nederlandse Papierfabriek (KNP), non-profit organizations, universities, and other companies. Also includes correspondence, fundraising material, and meeting materials.

Institute of Agrologists, the Bella Coola Watershed Conservation Society, the Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association, the Canadian Institute of Forestry, the Canadian Society of Landscape Ecology and Management, the Grasslands Conservation Council of British Columbia, the Lambda Alpha International Society for Range Management, the Soil and Water Conservation Society, and the Wilderness Tourism Association, among others. Records include material relating to Runka's involvement with these professional associations, as well as collected professional resource material relating to agriculture and environment topics. Also includes Runka's business card collection.

This series includes records of Zimmerman's involvement with the Canadian Forest Industries Council (CFIC), the Canadian Softwood Lumber Committee (CSLC), the Business Council on National Issues (BCNI), the Canadian Forestry Advisory Council (CFAC), the Canadian Pulp & Paper Association (CPPA), the Forest Industries Advisory Committee (FIAC), the Forest Products Employee Relations Council (FPERC), the Forest Sector Advisory Council (FSAC), Forest Products Sectoral Advisory Group on International Trade (SAGIT), the "Group of Seven", and the Pulp & Paper Research Institute Of Canada (PPRIC).
Series contains material created during Kent Sedgwick’s teaching appointments at the College of New Caledonia and the University of Northern British Columbia. He held a position as a Geography Instructor at CNC from 1970 until 1983 and did frequent guest lectures at UNBC until he became an adjunct professor from 2003 until 2009. He conducted guest lectures and taught course on historical geography and local history. The files primarily consist of lectures, notes, and correspondence between Sedgwick and the institutions.
