          Photograph depicts a CNR slip in Penticton on Okanagan Lake. It shows a general view of the sidings leading from the barge slip . The tractor could move two cars on the level, but did not move cars to and from the barge. The winch was used to pull all cars, including tank cars, onto the barge.

          Photograph depicts a CNR slip in Penticton on Okanagan Lake. The first two cars are being removed from a barge. There is a gas driven winch on the after port of the barge. A cable is taken around a pulley (white in the middle ground) and then attached to the frame of the 1st car- as shown in this photo. This gets the cars moving and gravity plus the brakes does the rest.

          Photograph taken about halfway between Terrace and Prince Rupert. The Skeena Subdivision (from Terrace) was about 400 yards long and was used for avalanche protection. It was abandoned in the 1950's as it was deemed too expensive to maintain.

          Photograph taken at on mile 62 (from Smithers) on the Bulkley Valley Subdivision which is nearly the mid-point between Smithers and Terrace. The visible sign is for the benefit of train tourists sighted on the southern bank of the Skeena River.

          Photograph depicts the Skeena Crossing Bridge on the Bulkley Valley Subdivision. This area was part of an old Grand Trunk Pacific Railway line to Prince Rupert. The Skeena River is visble below. During the construction of the railway, stern wheelers came up river with supplies to this point.

          Photograph depicts a CPR rail ferry ramp, just east of Pier A3 in Vancouver Harbour. It was usual to offload two outer tracks followed by the center. These cars were heavily loaded with pulp from Harmac and they caused the barge to tilt. There was a concern that cars would foil the gantry when the unloading was taking place.

          Photo deoicts the lifting span of an existing rail bridge that was stuck in upwards position after the north pier had been struck by a freighter, putting the towers out of alignment. Visible is a crew working at the base of the north tower.

          Photograph depicts a laid up CNR raikl car ferry called the "Canora." It had been tied to the CN pier in Vancouver for the winter of 1967/68, but its berth was needed for cruise steamers.

          Photograph depicts trackage connecting the passenger depot in Prince Rupert and freight only section to a seal cove. Image captured at Cow Bay, with the Mason Way grade crossing visible. In 2003, Davies noted that the twin sets of track on the rail bridge survived, but everything else had disappeared.

          Photograph depicts a seal cove located about four minutes north of the center of Prince Rupert. This photograph was taken near the end of the line from Jasper. This sharp curve leads to the BC Packers Fish Cold Storage Plant. Davies notes there was no evidence of recent use (for at least one month).

          Photograph depicts a rail bridge over the Fraser River. Canter levelled on both sides were vehicle roadways which ceased to be used in 1987 when a new road bridge was supposed to be completed. The right lane took cars into the city of Prince George.
