The spur continues for 200 yards beyond the icehouse and divides into 2 lines to service a plant at 196 Smithe St. The building is now used as an art school and the trackage is disused.

A Sperry rail fault detection car had just passed in the opposite direction. Later discovered that a CN derailment north of Spences Bridge had diverted all the CN traffic to the CP tracks, which explains the slow movement of the train.
