The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) is an independent, non-partisan research institute concerned with issues of social, economic environmental justice. Founded in 1980, the CCPA is one of Canada’s leading progressive voices in public policy debates. The CCPA publishes on a wide range of social, economic and environmental issues in formats that include research studies, short commentaries, articles in "The Monitor" (monthly national research magazine) and monographs. It is believed Mr. Taylor collected these publications to further his own research interests. Series consists of Alderdice’s records and collected material related to the Kemano Completion Project and his activities as a fisheries biologist. Early material includes research records on total gas pressure and flow analysis research, particularly in regards to the Nechako River, which Alderdice was working on in anticipation of the Nechako River court action. Records regarding the Nechako River court action range from 1984 to 1987, and include correspondence, internal DFO memoranda, and legal documents. Records created by Alderdice after his retirement from DFO in 1987 document his involvement with the British Columbia Utilities Commission Kemano Completion Project Public Review and his connection to the Siddon v. Mair court case. Also includes copies of publications related to Alderdice’s research and activities, such as reprints of journal articles, scientific reports, government publications, and newspaper clippings.

Fawcett stopped publishing poetry after 1982, although he did not stop producing it. These "suppressed poems" are also included. Many poems are untitled and unidentified.

Series consists of employee timetables for the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Canadian National Railway, the Pacific Great Eastern Railway, BC Rail, the Great Northern Railway, the Great Northern Railway, the Burlington Northern Railway, the BC Electric Railway, and the BC Harbours Board Railway. Also known as “working timetables”, these are a valuable research tool that include timings at every station or other significant location along the train's journey, the train's reporting number, its maximum speed, and any other information relevant to the operation of the train.
