General note
General note
Original case features a colour photograph of Queen Elizabeth II on front. Reads as follows on verso : "August 17th, 1994 . . . a sunny, summer's day in Prince George. But this day will be different. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will visit Prince George to open the main campus of the University of Northern British Columbia, and to attend a civic reception. 1994 will mark a turning point for Prince George; a transition from rural to urban, from survival to stability, from the old Prince George to the new. In this year of changes, Her Majesty's visit signals the arrival of Prince George as a mature Canadian city. It is a pivotal year for PGTV too. Technology has changed broadcasting forever, and the Royal Visit '94 program is one of the first shows to be edited on the non-linear Media 100 system, a digitally-based editor that uses no video tape. Enjoy this product of the new technology, the skilled people at PGTV, and the local residents who worked so hard to make August 17th, 1994, the important day it was. PGTV. The cover photograph of Queen Elizabeth II was taken by Bob Ingraham, a professional photographer working in Prince George, during Her Majesty's visit to the Prince George Civic Centre on August 17th, 1994. Cover printed by Spee-Dee Printers, Prince George, B.C. VHS. PGTV '94."
