File consists of incoming correspondence from the general public and politicians regarding matters related to northern development and outgoing correspondence from Iona Campagnolo. Includes correspondence regarding ministers touring northern British Columbia and correspondence to and from Minister of Regional Economic Expansion Don Jamieson. Also includes a 1974 prospectus for the Research Institute of Northern Canada; a "Prospectus for Environmental Studies in the Shuswap-Thompson River Drainage Basin" prepared for the Shuswap-Thompson River Research and Development Association; notes for opening remarks by Jack Davis at the 1974 BC Liberal Association Annual Meeting regarding Resource Development Policy; a September 1974 "Progress Report on Western Economic Opportunities Conference Commitments"; copies of newspaper articles; a 1974 report by Richard Overstall of SPEC Smithers entitled "The Social Effects of Rapid Growth: A northern sickness"; a press release regarding the Northwest Rail and Port Agreement; and a 1973 report by the BC Voice of Women and the Sierra Club of BC entitled "Should we Develop the North?".
