Scope and content
File consists of source material and summary histories regarding railways in southeastern British Columbia, particularly the Canadian Pacific Railway. Predominantly consists of photocopy reproductions, excerpts from books, and clippings from periodicals. Includes the following works: "Railway Development in Southern British Columbia from 1890 on" by A. McCulloch; "Gradients in the Kootenays" by Davies; "Railways in the Nelson and Trail Areas" by Davies; "Across the Great Divide by CP Rail" by Elson; "The Big Hill and the Mountain Section" by T. Crump; "Work-Train to Tye" by H. Riegger; and "Coal to Japan" by R. Loat.
