Photograph depicts a CPR wreck crane stationed in Kamloops. It had just come from a crash site about 7 miles south from a hauling hopper car on a makeshift set up. Nearest set of tracks belonged to the car and were properly placed. Rear set of bogies were taken from the wreck site and the end of the wrecked car was placed on them.

Photograph depicts a BCR snow plow on a spur located opposite a former Squamish depot that was burned down. All the windows of the snow equipment in front of the plow were broken by vandals, so there was spare service for winter operations.

Photograph depicts a CN snow plow, spotted at the Kamloops Junction. Built June 1939. Rated "Heavy Duty." CN, at the time, had 63 snow plows and this was the 12-18th youngest of them. Latest one built was in 1959.

Photograph taken looking west towards a lake. Davies notes that the reason for this visible particular configuration is that the CNR and the CPR yards used to be west of Ellis. At the time the photograph was taken, such land was needed for better development, e.g. hotels, high rise residences, sports area, etc.

Photograph depicts the site of two derailment mishaps in 1991 and 1995. In November 1991, there was (and still is) a pipe yard of West Coast Gad Transmission Ltd. located above the track. Two huge pipes got away and rolled down the cut into the path of oncoming train. A concrete block wall was erected to stop this. Also, all pipes were stored at 90 degrees to the rail track.

Photograph depicts close up of the car named "Mount Stephen," built in 1926. It was one of the cars that comprised the President's train that stayed in Nelson for the first weekend of August, 1997 during the city's centennial celebrations.
