Caption: "Fort St. James, Northern B.C. Gathering of Siwashes to meet a Cardinal straight from the Pope. Note segregation of the sexes; also little girl just married to the church. Cardinal third priest from left. Frank." Item is a group photograph of First Nations people gathered to receive a Cardinal. "Siwash" was a derrogatory term sometimes used to refer to First Nations people of the Northern Pacific Coast of North America.
