File consists of research material regarding drawbridges and moveable span bridges, which predominantly consist of photocopy reproductions, excerpts from books, and clippings from periodicals. Includes an article by Smith and Nicklason entitled "CPR's Mission Bridge Knock-Out"; sources relating to the Victoria E&N Bascule Bridge; and an "Application of the Canadian National Railways...to permanently convert the lift span of the North Thompson River bridge...into a fixed span by the removal of the lift span towers". Also includes pieces by Davies on "Railway Draw Bridges in BC: Explanation and Summary at 2010"; "Moveable Span Railway Bridges in B.C."; "Canadian Northern / Canadian National Railway Bridge over South Thompson River, Kamloops"; and "Bridging the Fraser at Prince George".
