Scope and content

Dr. Leslie Main Johnson, Professor Emerita at Athabasca University, worked with Gitxsan and Wet'suwet'en peoples in the mid-1980s. Her research research focus was on ethnobotanical, healing and ethnoecological knowledge. This collection includes ethnographic field notes, photographs, and video and audio recordings of interviews. Also includes some Haisla materials and a 1993 copy of Johnson's "Wet'suwet'en Ethnobotany" book.
