General note
Freer's notebook with his 1950 and 1951 diaries is the only one that is missing between 1942 and 1975. Some of Skook Davidson's diary fragments cover parts of 1950 and 1951, and they indicate that Freer packed for a major mining exploration company in the summer of both years.
