File consists of a large compendium containing reports, scholarly articles, papers, guidelines and principles for Canadian Model Forests. The compendium has a brief letter to the reader by Bruce MacArthur (Chair, Model Forest Network) and Keith McClain (Secretariat) describing the scope and purpose the three volume compendiums. The manual is divided into ten subheadings: Preface, Excerpts from the United Nations Conference of Environment and Development, Canada's Commitment to Sustainable Forest Management, Europe's Commitment to Sustainable Forest Management, Sustain ability of the Amazon Forest, ITTO Guidelines for Sustainable Forest Management, US Approach to Sustainable Forest Management, Developing Approaches to Sustainability: Examples, Harmonization of Criteria & Indicators, and CIFOR and Testing Criteria & Indicators.
