The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) is an independent, non-partisan research institute concerned with issues of social, economic environmental justice. Founded in 1980, the CCPA is one of Canada’s leading progressive voices in public policy debates. The CCPA publishes on a wide range of social, economic and environmental issues in formats that include research studies, short commentaries, articles in "The Monitor" (monthly national research magazine) and monographs. It is believed Mr. Taylor collected these publications to further his own research interests. Series consists of newsletters, correspondence, reports, conference programmes, poetry, agendas, brochures, newspaper clippings, articles, conference proceedings, position papers, fact sheets, technical assessments, press releases, political campaign material and briefs pertaining to Walt Taylor's extensive involvement with various grass-roots level environmental, socio-political and peace movements while living in the Okanagan region of British Columbia from ca. 1965-1982. Also included in this series is a very small amount of early correspondence (1951 & 1955) regarding a recent publication (1951) and an update of their activities (1955). Consists of a letter from Dan Rogers, Promotions Director of the Prince George Spruce Kings, to Al Lefebvre, Director of Finance of UNBC. The letter thanks Lefebvre for his attendance and support of the Spruce Kings' recent exhibition series with the Victoria Warriors and summarizes the series. Post-script on letter reads as follows : "I have included an autographed hat and puck that U.N.B.C. can keep for prosperity."
