File consists of an oral history given by George Lamanes, which was gathered as part of Dr. Mike Evan's Island Cache Recovery Project. Includes consent forms, transcripts, and the recorded oral history on the original media.

File consists of material regarding George Mercer Dawson who in 1875 joined the Geological Survey of Canada. His survey of BC strongly influenced government decisions on the proposed route of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Dawson was a charter Royal Society of Canada member (1882) and by 1883 was the assistant director of the Geological Survey of Canada. Includes reproductions of reports written by Dawson, articles, and research materials.

File consists of information gathered on Gerald (Gerry) Smedley Andrews, Surveyor General of the Province of British Columbia and Director of Mapping and Provincial Boundaries Commissioner. File contains greeting cards, correspondence, articles written by both Audrey L'Heureux and Gerry Andrews, a booklet on land surveying, and reproductions from the G. Smedley Andrews collection at BC Archives. Correspondence includes letters to and from L'Heureux and her publisher Northern B.C. Book Publishing as well as letters between L'Heureux and Gerry Andrews. Highlights include:

Series consists of the business records of G.G. Runka Land Sense Ltd., Gary Runka's consultancy business (co-owned with Joan Sawicki until 1991). G.G. Runka Land Sense Limited was incorporated as a company on 30 Nov. 1978 and dissolved on 30 Nov. 2018. Most business activity ceased after Gary Runka's death in July 2013. The company provided comprehensive professional services in land inventory, environmental assessment, integrated resource management, land and water use conflict resolution and interdisciplinary land use planning. Over the course of the company's operation, Gary Runka and his firm consulted on 681 assignments ranging from very large projects (such as the Site C project) to small residential/commercial land capability assessments.

The records within this series include company information documents, company client and project lists, and an early company accounting ledger. Also included are Runka's business "Communications Planners", which include a page for every business contact with summarized notes about communication with that individual; these provide a very detailed record of company business.
