Michael Roberts, 4529 Montford Cresc., Victoria, B.C., V8N 3W6, dated 22 January 2003, to Iona Campagnolo reading: “Your Honour: At the 26 September 2002 Queen’s Jubilee Medal Ceremony in Government House, I briefly mentioned that I had taken several photos of you some years ago when I lived in Kelowna. I am enclosing them herewith. They were taken in September 1978 at the soccer fields behind the Parkinson Recreation Centre in Kelowna when you, as Federal Minister of Sports and Fitness (if memory serves) opened a Junior Soccer Tournament in which my son Ian - now 36! - was a participant. It took a little searching to find the slides from which these photos were made, but I thought you might enjoy this glimpse of times past for your personal archives. Respectfully, J. Michael Roberts”. See also item 2009.6.1.336.
