Photograph depicts a railway that was used to haul fire clay from a horizontal drift mine. The track on the left-hand side, behind the camera, led to a garage type of structure that held dismantled battery operated electric locomotives made by General Electric.

Photograph depicts one of six former sub-stations of the BC Electric Railway's 64 mile interurban railway between New Westminster and Chilliwack. It opened in 1910, but was closed in the 1950's due to electric traction. The interior had been vandalized, but the building (made out of concrete) was so well built that the structure itself was quite sound.

Photograph depicts the Clayborn diamond crossing on mile 37.0. An eastbound 45 car BC Hydro Railway freight had just cleared the crossing. Now it was stopped, awaiting the conductor who had just worked the signals in an interlocking shanty.

Photograph depicts the Abbotsford CPR depot. It was built circa 1910-1914 and was the second depot built by the CPR in the town. It is at mile 6.7 on the the Huntingdon branch from Mission City. It was last used for passenger traffic in October 1959. It is No.5 standard design CPR depot.
