These communities and locations include, among others, Shelley, Willow River, Sinclair Mills, Longworth, Dunster, Tete Jaune, Valemount, Mount Robson, and the Yellowhead Pass. Research on these communities was conducted during Kent Sedgwick's involvement in the UNBC-led Upper Fraser Historical Geography Project.
