After being trimmed to length, the boards are transferred automatically to the Green-chain which transports them to the Edge Sorter. The Edge Sorter is a long narrow conveyor with a series of triggers which when bumped by a particular sized piece will segregate and eject it automatically to the proper pile. The pieces are thus sorted automatically as to size and length.
