A collection of photographs of the early exploration exhibitions in the asbestos mountains area.

Photographs within this file document stern wheelers operating in Northern BC from ca. 1901 - 1915.

Consists of a photograph album that contains 224 photographs that depict Parker Bonney's early years as a Forest Engineer. Includes photographs of the expedition to the Nass Valley undertaken by Parker Bonney, Sam Brown, and others. May also include photographs of later surveying expeditions. Also includes three photographs of the University of Washington rowing team, of which Parker Bonney was a member between 1909 and 1913.

File consists of eight newspaper clippings, seven of which are a series of articles on the findings of the Oxford University Ellesmere Land Expedition, with the eighth being a photograph of the Expedition’s winter quarters in Etah, Greenland. Five of the articles were written by the expedition leader, Mr. Noel Humphreys and the other two were written by members of the Expedition, Mr. Moore and Mr. Haig-Thomas. The articles were originally published in the “Times” of London but the clippings appear to be from the “New Zealand Herald”.

A collection of 10 photographs of documented exploration in the early 1950s in and around the Cassiar area. Noted locations are Quartz Creek, Mocassin Mines, Blue River Bridge and the Alaska Highway.

Photograph of Cassiar's Chief Geologist Bill Plumb who led many exhibitions for the purposes of Cassiar's outside exploration endeavors. Various photos in this collection depict Bill on some of these exhibitions.

This collection is of Kutcho Creek Camp that was set up by a crew led by Cassiar's Chief Geologist Bill Plumb in 1966.

There are six photographs showing the temporary buildings, paths and barrels. These photos were taken from a high hill looking down at the camp. Two photographs depicts the valley of Kutcho Creek area, and the exploration camp is in the distance at foot of hill. One photograph depicts valley of Kutcho Creek area with a body of water in foreground, and mountains in background.
Another photograph depicts man believed to be Matt Bell standing in Kutcho Creek exploration camp. There are tents on either side, a wood structure in background and a sign on wood post: "PLUMB BLVD."

File primarily consists of Kent Sedgwick's handwritten notes on the fur trade routes.

File consists of notes and reproductions relating to the Yukon Telegraph Trail, which runs through British Columbia from Ashcroft in the south to Atlin in the North. The telegraph line was constructed by the Dominion Government Telegraph Service from 1898 to 1901. The groundwork for this telegraph line was laid by the Collins Overland Telegraph and the Western Union Telegraph (Russian-American Telegraph). File also includes photographs depicting a cabin at Bobtail Lake along the telegraph trail (1977).

File consists of notes, clippings, and reproductions relating to the Hudson's Bay Company fur trade in British Columbia, particularly in Fort St. James and Fort George. File primarily consists of Kent Sedgwick's handwritten notes on the Hudson's Bay Company fur trade in British Columbia. Includes: "Parks Canada Lower Fort Garry National Historic Park" brochure published by Parks Canada [199-?]; and "Fort Langley National Historic Park" brochure published by Parks Canada (1979).

File consists of notes and reproductions relating a 1913 amendment to the Land Act, which is the British Columbia legislation used by the government to transfer land to the public for community, industrial, or business use. The 1913 amendment stated that land would be free to settlers with proof of three years residence or pre-empting unsurveyed or crown land after March 1913. File primarily consists of photocopied newspaper articles discussing the amendment.

File consists of reproduced copy of "To the Memory of Alexander Mackenzie's Granddaughter and last Descendant Mrs. Heald (Alexandra Isabel Mackenzie)" originally published in 1933.

File consists of notes, clippings, and reproductions relating to the New Caledonia fur trade by the North West Company. The New Caledonia fur trade began with Simon Fraser who set up posts at Fort St. James, Fort Fraser, and Fort George. The fur trade was administered out of the post at Fort St. James. File primarily consists of handwritten notes by Kent Sedgwick for a lecture on the New Caledonia fur trade.

File consists of material relating to Patrick Allan Morrow who was a Canadian photographer and mountain climber. In 1986 Morrow was the first person to climb the Seven Summits in the Carstensz-Version. Materials include magazine clippings, newspaper clippings, and correspondence between Morrow and L'Heureux.

File consists of notes, clippings, and reproductions relating to James C. Anderson and engineer J. Gill. James Anderson arrived in Fort George in 1912. Anderson did topographical surveys of the Fort George area for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway between 1912 and 1913. Engineer J. Gill did a topographical survey of the Indian reserve for the Grand Trunk Pacific in 1912. Includes "Grand Trunk Pacific Maps" typescript document by Kent Sedgwick (3 June 1980).

File consists of notes and reproductions relating to George Mercer Dawson (August 1, 1849 - March 2, 1901), a Canadian geologist and surveyor with the Geological Survey of Canada.

File consists of notes and reproductions relating to Luther Collins Gunn and L.C. Gunn Park. Luther Colins Gunn was a survey engineer who had done work for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway and the Pacific Great Eastern Railway when he arrived in Prince George. The L.C. Gunn trail follows the same route used by Gunn when surveying the rail routes in the Prince George area. Includes: "Gunn Point" typescript document by Ted Williams for the Heritage Advisory Committee (1985); "A Proposal - The L.C. Gunn Viewpoint" typescript letter to Mr. Mac Norris, president of the B.C.R. This travel scrapbook was created by Jill Singleton to document a trip to Alaska, Yukon, Haida Gwaii, and northern BC. Jill Singleton and Eric Stathers embarked on a 1985 car camping trip using the BC Ferries and Alaska Ferry systems.
