    Biographical history

    W. Murray Sadler, a founding partner of the Prince George law firm of Heather Sadler Jenkins, was the founding President of the Interior University Society and later became Chairman of the Interim Governing Council of the University of Northern British Columbia.

        Salmon painted on front in red and black by Robert Luptaagaa Vogstad, and signed "R. Vogstad, 90." Paw painted on handle in red and black. Plaque affixed to front of paddle reads as follows : "This commemorative paddle is signed by the canoeists from Simon Fraser University who are paddling the route of explorer Simon Fraser to celebrate their university's 25th anniversary. It commemorates their welcome by British Columbia's newest university, the University of Northern British Columbia, Prince George, September 6, 1990." Written on front as follows : "Good Luck with your Bridge to the Future, Simon Fraser." Signed by canoeists on verso. Plaque beginning to loosen.
