File consists of copies of Department of Fisheries and Oceans memoranda and other correspondence related to the court action between Alcan and the provincial and federal governments, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) Public Review, and the court case between the Rivers Defense Coalition and the Ministers of the Environment, Fisheries and Oceans, and Transport. Includes correspondence with William Schouwenburg, Dirk Beck, the Ferguson Gifford law firm, Bruce Rawson, John Hummel, Robert Pellatt of the BCUC, and the Rivers Defense Coalition. Also includes a copy of the "1991/92 Budget Ministry of Environment Expenditure Issue Paper", Alderdice's affidavit for the Rivers Defense Coalition case, news releases regarding the Kemano Completion Project, "Kemano Completion Project--Nechako River: A Summary Statement" by D.F. Alderdice, and Alderdice's notes.
