This collection consists of textual records related to the history of Northern B.C. and the community of Prince George. Series consist of : (1) Kiwanis Club of Prince George ; (2) Miscellaneous ; (3) Yukon/Alaska Ephemera ; and (4) Josephine Mitchell.

Series consists of newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs, pamphlets, newsletters, advertisements, contracts, notebooks, audiocassettes of oral interviews and readings, transcripts, book launch announcements, front cover mock-ups, edited drafts, manuscripts, fact sheets, poems, catalogues, bookmarks, skits, conference events programme, poster, grant applications and related correspondence, a wooden placard, handwritten notes, book reviews, inquest reports, background material, VHS recordings of classroom talks given by Bridget Moran, Mary John and Justa Monk re: her publications, and ephemera. This series contains material from all five of her publications:

File consists of Mary's corrected copy of "Stoney Creek Woman" up to Chapter 17 (May 19, 1987).

Series contains two diplomas awarded to Dr. Ainley by the University of Northern British Columbia, news clippings, and photographs. Series also includes some of her activities during her retirement including her art exhibits, a cruise, and membership in Federation of BC Writers.

File consists of correspondence and reproductions from L'Heureux's research at the BC Provincial Archives in Victoria. Contains photocopies of BC Archives archival materials, correspondence, memoranda, articles, archival manuscript, research requests, and pamphlets. Highlights include:

File consists of slogans written by Audrey L'Heureux, and collected reproductions of jokes, poetry, and mottos. Includes some jokes that include BC cultural references.

File consists of collected research materials regarding Olive Fredrickson who was an author known for her novel "The Silence of the North". Materials include correspondence between Fredrickson and L'Heureux, a photograph, newspaper clippings, postcards, and reproductions of articles. Photograph depicts Olive Fredrickson in Prince George in the fall of 1977.

File consists of material relating to Edward R. Gosnell. Gosnell was the first Provincial Librarian from 1893 to 1898 and also the first Provincial Archivist from 1908 to 1910. He wrote one of the earliest histories of British Columbia. Research materials include reproductions of photographs from BC Archives and reproductions of articles. Highlights include:

Item consists of transcript and tape summary of analog recording of interview with Bill Woycik and Howard Foot on the history of the Recreational Services Division of City of Prince George. Includes information on various events hosted including aquatic, circus and sports events c.1958-c.1986.

Item consists of transcript of interviews with guests on the Simon Break radio show including members of the musical group The Rhythm Pals and librarian Anne Allgaier.

File consists of 1 audiocassette of Bob Harkins interviewing author, storyteller Joe Garner about his book "Never Fly Over an Eagle's Nest: A True Story of Courage and Survival" Also discusses his childhood and work as a logger on Saltspring Island.

File consists of 1 audiocassette of interview by Gil McCall with Branwen Patenaude who discusses her self-published book, “Because of Gold” about the history of gold mining and its impact on Quesnel's history. She also discusses the challenges of the publishing industry.

The Vivian Antoniw Collection consists of textual and photographic materials including Antoniw’s graduate thesis research work c.1960 on Northwest Coast totem poles, particularly near Hazelton, Kitimaat area. Materials include textual records, thesis, photographs, slides, artistic sketches by Antoniw and grey literature related to Northwest Coast art.

Subseries consists of correspondence and accompanying informational material related to the Secretary of State of Canada and Canadian cultural issues. Records include speeches by the Secretary of State, press releases, brochures, reports, newspaper clippings, memoranda, grant requests, itineraries, and reference material. Includes correspondence regarding federal grants; Canadian flag distribution; participation in Canada Week; the status of women in the Public Service; public access to government information; the national anthem; the Open House Canada exchange program; human rights; financial cutbacks to the arts; the Canadian Constitutional Amendment Bill; the Canada Referendum Act; the Quebec separatist movement; Canada’s official languages; bilingual services and education; Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) programming and services to northern BC; complaints from Skeena constituents regarding radio and television service; the new citizenship legislation (Bill C-20); multiculturalism and ethnic communities; Canadian theatre and arts programs; the Northwest BC Art Council; the Canadian Conference of the Arts; Heritage Canada; Scientology; and northern BC museums and exhibits.
