Series consists of research subject files accumulated by Audrey L'Heureux over the course of her journalism and writing careers, with material collected between 1960 and 2005. File consists of information on Charles William Digby. Clifford was an Irish-born miner, trader, hotel owner and political figure in British Columbia. He represented Cassiar from 1898 to 1903 and Skeena from 1903 to 1907 as a Conservative in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. Clifford also a partner in one of the Kitselas mines. Material includes reproductions of articles, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and "Northern B.C. In Retrospect Who's Who" article written by Audrey L'Heureux.

File consists of photocopied research materials on Sir Sandford Fleming (January 7, 1827 - July 22, 1915), a Scottish Canadian engineer and inventor who promoted worldwide standard time zones, a prime meridian, and use of the 24-hour clock as key elements to communicating the accurate time, all of which influenced the creation of Coordinated Universal Time. He designed Canada's first postage stamp, produced a great deal of work in the fields of land surveying and map making, engineered much of the Intercolonial Railway and the first several hundred kilometres of the Canadian Pacific Railway, and was a founding member of the Royal Society of Canada and founder of the Canadian Institute (a science organization in Toronto).

File consists of material relating to Edward R. Gosnell. Gosnell was the first Provincial Librarian from 1893 to 1898 and also the first Provincial Archivist from 1908 to 1910. File consists of material relating to Charles Melville Hays (May 16, 1856 - April 15, 1912) who was the president of the Grand Trunk Railway. He began working in the railroad business as a clerk at the age of 17 and quickly rose through the ranks of management to become the General Manager of the Wabash, St. Louis and Pacific Railway. He became Vice-President of that company in 1889 and remained as such until 1896 when he became General Manager of the Grand Trunk Railway (GTR) of Canada. He died in the sinking of the RMS Titanic before his plan was complete. File consists of newspaper clippings, correspondence, and reproductions of articles.

File consists of an inaugural Summer 1993 issue of a newsletter from the Seedy 2000 Club of Vanderhoof about heritage seeds.

File consists of material relating to Guy Lawrence who wrote the autobiographical "Forty Years on the Yukon Telegraph", which details his arrival in Canada in 1898 from England to prospect in the Klondike Gold Fields. While en route, a gold strike was made at Atlin, B.C. that was closer and changed his plans. Spending two years working in various mining camps in Atlin, Lawrence joined the Yukon Telegraph Line, which was just being completed. This line ran 1900 miles from Vancouver, B.C. through Ashcroft to Hazleton, Whitehorse and Dawson City. Up to World War I, Lawrence worked from isolated wilderness cabins, relaying messages and repairing lines. After serving overseas in the war, he ran the telegraph office in Stewart, which ran a branch line along the Portland Canal to the company town of Anyox. He remained in Stewart for 26 years, retiring in 1946. By this time, due to the wireless, most of the line had been abandoned. Materials include reproductions of articles, and a transcribed oral history from Guy Lawrence, copied from the BC Provincial Archives.

The map is part of an advertising pamphlet that depicts the Yellowhead Highway 16. The map highlights towns and tourist attractions along Highway 16 like Hazelton, Kitimat, Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake, Burns Lake, Fort St. James, Prince George, Terrace, and Smithers.

This 1967 centennial map depicts Canadian achievements from 1867 to 1967. The map includes over 73 moments, events, and people that have shaped Canada in the last one hundred years.

File consists of research material relating to the Omineca Gold Rush which was a gold rush in British Columbia in the Omineca region of the Northern Interior of the province. Gold was first discovered there in 1861, but the rush didn't begin until late in 1869 with the discovery at Vital Creek. There were several routes to the goldfields: two were from Fort St. James, one of which was a water route through the Stuart and Tachie Rivers to Trembleur Lake to Takla Lake and the other was overland, called the Baldy Mountain route. A third route came in overland from Hazelton on the Skeena River and a fourth route used the Fraser River and crossed over the Giscome Portage to Summit Lake, through McLeod Lake, and up the Finlay River to the Omineca River. Materials include one large photograph from the BC Provincial Archives of Machanry of the SS Enterprise at Tremblay Lake in June 7th, 1913. Other materials include newspaper clippings and two photographic negatives of the machinery of the SS Enterprise.
