Photograph depicts building containing Cassiar's bar and snackbar, visible across ball field. This building originally housed school classrooms, movie theater, barber shop, and rec centre with three pool tables. Private liquor store originally located in far right of building. Liquor store was known to be the only legal bootleg liquor business in the province at the time, before it was transferred to Cassiar's government liquor store and replaced with a Sear's office. Catholic church and other buildings are visible behind trees in right midground. Road and field in foreground, valley and mountains in background. Community Centre located behind photographer, out of frame, curling rink on photographer's right.

Photograph depicts the Grand Central Hotel at the intersection of Marpole Ave and Hudson St. in south Vancouver. The hotel was built in 1912 by J.J. Graver and run from 1913-1915. It re-opened in 1920 as a home for incurables (veterans). In 1937 it became the provincial infirmary and closed in May 1965.

Photograph depicts the site of a former C.P.R. connection between the mainline into Vancouver and False Creek yards at West Pender St. In Vancouver. The rails are not used but still appear in the street and on the parking lot on the far side. Another parallel set of tracks 30 yards to the east are in daily use.

Photograph depicts the Great Northern Railway depot at Keremeos and the terminus of the line from Wenatchee, Washington, U.S.A. The line stops about 1/3 mile beyond this point. At one time it ran on to Hedley mine and possibly Princeton.
