All these trees had to be sawn up by hand and removed after one day's strong autumnal gale. This may make you appreciate English roads better! Taken during the excessive cold weather we experienced early in January. The icicles formed in the night, and the actual temperature when I took this was 32° below zero, the previous night having been over 60° below. (10)"
