Scope and content

Photograph depicts a snow-covered road through the forest lined with fallen trees. Reads on verso as follows : "A road through the brush. All these trees had to be sawn up by hand and removed after one day's strong autumnal gale. This may make you appreciate English roads better! (1)" Other writing crossed out, but reads, among other things, "Taken Dec 21/1912".
