Files primarily consist of notes regarding the location and history of various schools in and surrounding Prince George and photographs depicting historic school buildings. The research on schools aided the development of a history of schools for the Prince George Retired Teachers' Association.

Subseries contains materials relating to Dr. Ainley's research on women in the fields of science and engineering. Ainley dedicated much of her career to this topic, which resulted in a number of publications. Subseries includes material relating to the submission and editing of Ainley's chapter, "Marriage and Scientific Work in Twentieth-Century Canada: the Berkeleys in Marine Biology and the Hoggs in Astronomy" in "Creative Couples in the Sciences" about the experiences of two scientific couples: Edith and Cyril Berkeley and Frank and Helen Hogg. Materials for this publication include correspondence, edited manuscripts, permissions form templates and a call and instructions for submissions. This subseries also includes research material for a review of Margaret Gillett and Ann Beer's book, "Our Own Agendas: Autobiographical Essays by Women Associated with McGill University," including notes, correspondence and short biographies of women from McGill University. Subseries also contains research on Canadian women in science including photocopied archival materials from various Canadian universities. This subseries also contains materials relating to Ainley's book, "Creating complicated lives: women and science at English-Canadian universities, 1880-1980" and Ainley's chapter, "Soaring to New Heights: Changes in the Life Course of Mabel McIntosh" in "Great Danes." Subseries consists of research relating to women in the Royal Society of Canada and on individual women scientists and engineers. Research materials consist of photocopies of published and archival research materials, correspondence, and applications for grans and ethics reviews. This subseries also contains approximately 80 overhead transparencies from presentations.

Spotlight on UNBC

"Spotlight on UNBC" was a promotional television show created by the UNBC Communications Department and was shown on the local Prince George Shaw television channel. The first 30-minute episode of "Spotlight on UNBC" aired in February 1993 and continued with one episode a month until 1998, when it switched to one episode every other month. After the year 2000, the show began to evolve into various shorter iterations for Shaw television audiences. These later shows were "UNBC Insight" (circa 2001) and "Plugged In" hosted by Sandra Claremont (circa 2004) which included "What's New This Week" stories created by the UNBC Communications, often filming a month's worth at once. The host of "Spotlight on UNBC", as well as the show's later iterations, was Rob van Adrichem. This subseries includes a complete run of the original "Spotlight on UNBC" episode masters from February 1993 to December 2000.

Subseries consists of footage created by Iris Communications, a video production company contracted by UNBC in 1994 to create promotional videos for the new university. The final promotional videos were titled "North to the Future" and "Northern Is...". Besides the master versions of these two films, this subseries also includes all of the raw footage filmed by Iris Communications used to create the videos. This footage predominantly consists of interviews (with administrators, students, faculty, stakeholders, and community members), Northern BC scenery, shots of the new UNBC Prince George campus, and recordings of important UNBC events from 1994 (such as the opening of the campus by Queen Elizabeth).

Subseries primarily consists of articles by other authors, some with related correspondence between Weller and the author. A large amount of the material is related to health policy specifically in Canada; however, the records also range to health policy in the United States and other countries. The subseries also includes the text of speeches by government officials, publications created by government bodies, newspaper clippings, and other material collected over the course of Weller’s research on health policy. The series contains drafts by Weller with titles which correspond to early papers and chapters of his dissertation: "The Public Interest in Professional Politics: The Case of the Canadian Medical Association,” "Chapter 4: Health Care and Medicare Policy in Ontario," "Health Policy in Ontario," and "The Executive, the Legislature and the Health Policy Process: The Case of Ontario." The first 243 files are primarily scholarly works and government documents individually filed by Weller and generally arranged alphabetically by author. The other 72 files contain notes, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and other material in files created by Weller in broader files by topic. The bulk of the material was gather around the dates 1975 to 1980, though some files contain items from dates in the mid-1980s and four files with dates into the 1990s suggesting the material was also involved in later research (see subseries 10).
