File consists of historical summaries and general data for the Pacific Great Eastern Railway and later, BC Rail. Predominantly consists of photocopy reproductions, excerpts from books, and clippings from periodicals. Includes the following works: "P.G.E.R. 1914 to 1923, Progressive Dates of Commencement of Passenger Service" by Davies; "Splintered Dream" by Schmidt; "Arriving at Squamish in 1928: The Story of Eric P. Stathers" by Eric Stathers; "Tales of Trails and Rails: CPR, PGE, and Others North of Squamish" by Eric Johnson; "Pacific Great Eastern Railway: Moving British Columbia's Resources to the Markets of the World" (1971); "B.C. Rail in Review" (1974); "An Electrified Finale" by Dale Sanders; "Brief Overview of the PGE, BCR, and BC Rail" by Douglas Smith; "Remembering BC Rail" by Mark Forseille; "All time PGE, BCR, BC Rail Roster" by Paul C. Smith; "The PGE is a 'Different' Railway" by Peter Cox; and "North to the Yukon!" by C. Willis Creighton. Also includes 1974 and 1995 BC Rail schedules.
