File consists of research material regarding railway labour relations and unions, which predominantly consist of photocopy reproductions, excerpts from books, and clippings from periodicals. Includes information on the unionization process, the United Brotherhood of Railway Employees, the May 2012 CPR Rail Strike, the June 2011 lock-out by Rocky Mountain Railtours, the July 2009 VIA Rail Strike, the 1990 BC Rail strike, collective agreements, railway employee wages, and employee seniority. Also includes a copy of a "Master Agreement dated Montreal, September 27, 1979 between the Railway Association of Canada...and the Railway Employees Department...re: Application of Wage Increases...and other changes covering the years 1979, 1980, and 1981".
