This fonds encompasses the academic and administrative career of esteemed Canadian historian Dr. Robin Fisher during his tenure at the University of Northern British Columbia. Although Dr. Robin Fisher's career at the University of Northern British Columbia was largely in administration, he continued to give papers at scholarly conferences as well as provide service to his University and community. Series contains records relating to conferences attended, spoken at, or organized by Dr. Fisher. Also includes records relating to community and University service such as his participation in committees and the UNBC Faculty Association.

Teaching

Series consists of course development material created by Dr. Robin Fisher for his UNBC undergraduate and graduate courses. Dr. Fisher primarily taught in the Department of History and was instrumental in the development of the History Program at UNBC. Records include syllabi, course readings, resource material, and correspondence.

Includes eight postcards, a brochure for the UNBC Arts & Science programs, and a letter from UNBC Chancellor Iona Campagnolo. Also includes photographs of: Dr. Fisher and other faculty at UNBC Convocation (1995 or 1996?), Dr. Fisher with Bridget Moran, Dr. Fisher with Mary-Ellen Kelm and others at an honours dinner, and Dr. Fisher being recognized for his work by Dr. Weller.

File consists of correspondence, presentation notes, and a program for the 1999 BC Studies Conference at Simon Fraser University. Dr. Fisher presented a paper ntitled "Native History in British Columbia in the Twenty First Century".

The workshop was part of the Canadian Historical Association Meeting, held as part of the Congress of Learned Societies, Sherbrooke/Lennoxville, Quebec in June 1999.

Native title seminar, La Trobe University

File consists of correspondence, presentation notes, and a program for "Native Title in Comparative Perspective: Australia, New Zealand and Canada". This seminar was held at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia on 29 July 1999.

UNBC Faculty Forum
