Files primarily consist of notes regarding the location and history of various schools in and surrounding Prince George and photographs depicting historic school buildings. The research on schools aided the development of a history of schools for the Prince George Retired Teachers' Association.

Includes: "Inland Waters Branch" handwritten letter to Kent Sedgwick (4 Sept. 1970); "Peyto Glacier general information" pamphlet prepared by the Inland Waters Directorate, Water Resources Branch of Environment Canada (1975); and photographs depicting a Peyto Glacier workshop with Kent Sedgwick and colleagues (1996) and personal photographs depicting Kent Sedgwick, his wife, and friends visiting and hiking Peyto Glacier (1990).

Series contains material created during Kent Sedgwick’s teaching appointments at the College of New Caledonia and the University of Northern British Columbia. He held a position as a Geography Instructor at CNC from 1970 until 1983 and did frequent guest lectures at UNBC until he became an adjunct professor from 2003 until 2009. He conducted guest lectures and taught course on historical geography and local history. The files primarily consist of lectures, notes, and correspondence between Sedgwick and the institutions.
