A large quantity of influential (and obscure) periodicals published in the west is also included. Includes material related to Barry McKinnon and The Caledonia Writing Series and Gorse Press. The audio collection consists of cassette and reel to reel tapes of poetry readings and interviews in Prince George and other locations within Canada, including Edmonton, Montreal, and Vancouver. Readings from the 1980 Writing Conference Words/Loves at the College of New Caledonia (CNC) are also included along with many Poetry Readings at CNC during the 1970s to the 1990s. This fonds consists of 14,764 color, and black & white photographs and negatives either loose or in photo albums ; 3,616 color slides ; 35cm of sound and moving images (including 3 - 16mm color films, 3 mini DVs, 6 CDs, and 19 VHS video cassettes); and 1.26m of textual records.

Collection consists of records created, received, and collected by the Prince George Women's Centre, the Prince George Women's Collective, the Prince George Women's Equal Rights Association, the Prince George Women's Resource Centre, and the Prince George Women's Connection. The fonds consists of 4 letters by Collier written to McKilvington and 1 letter from McKilvington to Collier. Collier's letters discuss the problems in getting a signed copy of his book to McKilvington, and also respond to McKilvington's letter with information about mutual friends in the Chilcotin and with opinions on the depletion of wildlife in the Chilcotin district. McKilvington's letter is autobiographical, and also contains his opinions on the depletion of wildlife in the Chilcotin, gun control and provincial game regulations. One letter is a response to a letter McKilvington sent to the provincial government on the mismanagement of wildlife, ostensibly written by Ken Kiernan (BC Minister of Recreation & Conservation) but, according to Collier, probably written by Jim Hatter, Kiernan's deputy. The newspaper clippings include an obituary of Collier, an article and letter by Collier, and two photographs of Mrs. Collier taken at local functions.

This fonds illustrates Bridget Moran’s careers as a writer, a social worker and a social activist primarily within the Prince George region of British Columbia. This fonds also contains records pertaining to her personal relationships with family and friends and her receipt of various honours and awards.

Consists of 165 black and white photographs depicting Northwest Coast communities including Bella Bella, Rivers Inlet, Port Simpson, and Prince Rupert between approximately 1900 and 1920. Also includes postcard images of ships and boats on the North Coast belonging to the Large family, from Reverend Large's son Dr. R.G. Large. Also includes 39 colour slides ca. 1960 of ship scenes and weather balloon launches from the Dr. R.G. Large family.

The Alexander Manson Mining Collection consists of 133 loose photographs documenting various aspects of the mining industry in Northern British Columbia between 1930-1940. Photographs show images of Manson Creek and Germansen Landing.

This fonds encompasses the journalism, writing, and research of Audrey Ruth Smedley L'Heureux. L'Heureux's research interests focussed on northern and central British Columbia, beginning with pioneer settlement through to community life in the 2000s. L'Heureux's research also covered transitional phases of British Columbia history such as natural resource extraction, the impact of the railways, industrialization, and interactions with Indigenous communities. Predominantly organized in subject files, the L'Heureux's fonds provides collected research material on many topics relevant to the history of northern and central British Columbia. L'Heureux also collected numerous oral histories from pioneers in various northern and central British Columbia communities which informed her journalism and published works.

The Audrey Ruth Smedley L'Heureux fonds consists of three series. The first series consists of L'Heureux's research and subject files, a collection spanning her career as a journalist and author from 1970 to 2005. The second series consists of records relating to L'Heureux's writing, including manuscripts from her "From Trail to Rail" book series. The third series contains a small selection of L'Heureux's personal records, including a video that recounts L'Heureux's life story and accomplishments.

This photograph collection consists of 53 photographs featuring primarily Giscome with a few of Prince George. Subjects include the Eagle Lake Sawmill, Eagle Lake, Giscome townsite (including specific buildings and general road perspectives), Giscome School, Division II class photos (1950-51), and the Giscome School teacherage.

The Aleza Lake Research Forest Society (ALRFS) records encompass material that was created or collected by the Society over its existence (2001-present). Records created by the ALRFS consist of administrative and operational records, as well as publications from the Society. Collected records include historical records relating to the Aleza Lake Experiment Forest gifted to the Society or its members. These include maps, photographs, reference material, and documents. Members and associates of the ALRFS also documented the history of the forest through the creation of oral history recordings and written histories such as John Revel's "Devil's Club, Black Flies, and Snowshoes".

The fonds includes a significant amount of reproduced archival material about Aleza Lake from other institutions, such as BC Archives, the Canadian Forest Service, and the BC Forest Service. Many of these reproductions were created as part of the 2006 ALRFS Natural Resources History Internship in an effort to compile the history of the research forest.

Also included are cartographic and photographic materials that depict the Aleza Lake Research Forest and surrounding areas.

This collection consists of a scrapbook entitled "My Two Year Term on the Teen Town Council", which was created by Howard Foot to document his involvement in the Prince George Teen Town Council in 1958-1959.

Emil Bronlund was in 1927 hired by Consolidated Mining and Smelting Ltd. (later known as Cominco) to take on the company's mining exploration in northern British Columbia, a position he held for almost 25 years. Bronlund had a Leica camera and took photographs during his exploratory trips.

Film is a dramatization of the construction of the fourth generator at the Kemano hydro-electric power plant in Kitimat

The fonds consists of six company ledgers: 1894 - 1896, 1896, 1898 - 1901, 1900, 1904 - 1905, 1923 - 1926. Also includes 15 pages of correspondence and notes. The ledgers note expenses for various operations in the mine and in the company owned premises in town. The letters and notes concern the purchase of explosives for the mine and discusses the Consolidated Cariboo Hydraulic Mining Company.

A series of electronic records relating, predominately, to Ainley’s research includes: draft manuscripts, conference proceedings, bibliographies, transcripts, correspondence, curricula vitae and other records. A series of correspondence predominantly consists of personal correspondence but also includes professional correspondence related to her research and occupation.

This collection consists a nearly complete collection of issues of the UNBC student newspaper "Over the Edge" dating from its first newsletter type issue from 1993 onwards. This includes the first volume of the bi-monthly complimentary arts magazine "Edge".

Issues contain articles, photographs, letters, and editorials dealing with university life, politics on campus and university events, entertainment and news. As well, local Prince George events and some national and international events pertaining to student life are also included.
