Photograph depicts that Pacific Great Eastern depot at Horseshoe Bay, awaiting the dayliner to Quesnel. A two-coach Budd car runs from North Vancouver to Lillooet, and then a different 1-coach Budd car continues to Quesnel. It is possible to do a roundtrip from North Vancouver to Lillooet in one day.

Photograph depicts the Pacific Great Eastern depot in Lillooet. In the photograph is the front coach #31 of a two-coach Budd car train, 5 minutes after arrival, being checked and serviced. On this day this two-coach unit left from North Vancouver at 8 am and arrived at Lillooet at 1:15 pm. It left Lillooet at 4:05 pm and returned to Vancouver at 9:30 pm. The total mileage run was 315 miles.

Photograph depicts a spur leading off the Canadian National Railway (CN) spur to the Lafarge Cement Plant on the south bank and east side of Lulu Island. This spur used to be the original line and led to a peat plant, just seen at left on the horizon. The second car is pushed onto unused and overgrown track, which is dated 1909 Algoma Steel. This siding much used.

Photograph depicts the Canadian National Railway (CN) switcher #7218 and caboose on Lulu Island about to cross the New Westminster Highway, travelling northward on a spur. It came southwards as a loaded freight with 3 boxcars for a small spur behind the photo, and 3 empty cement tank cars for the Lafarge Cement Plant on the south bank of Lulu Island, half a miles distant behind the caboose.

It originally led to a peat plant but now continues southwards to the Lafarge Cement Plant on the south bank of the island. The view is looking due north and there is a whistle board at the left for the Westminster Highway behind the camera.
