Fonds consists of textual records, photographic items and published reports related to professional life and career of Bob Harkins, broadcaster, local historian, and former city councilor. Includes textual and photographic items related to development and history of city of Prince George and the Central Interior of BC region history and development in late 20th century. Items includes an unpublished manuscript on the life of Ray Williston by Eileen Williston, an unpublished paper on the history of technological change in logging industry; an unpublished paper on the history of radio and television in Prince George; a report related to the creation of a university for Northern British Columbia (1989) and proofs of the publication "Wild Liard Waters: Canoeing Canada's Historic Liard River" by Ferdi Wenger, c.1998. Also includes photographic files including CKPG Radio Studio photographic items c.1953; and photographs and correspondence regarding guide outfitter Skook Davidson c.1975.

Fonds contains 12.5 cm of textual records consisting of drafts of papers, off-prints of articles authored and co-authored by Fish, and files pertaining to his consultancy work in the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Also contains digital records and on diskettes (which have been migrated to CD), which include correspondence, memoranda, drafts, and other working files.

Fonds consists of 4 audio recordings of interviews related to the opening of the University of Northern British Columbia, including Jean Forsythe, Russ Clinton, John Chapman, and Charlie Lasser. All were interviewed by T. Cattell.

The fonds consists of Mr. McMann's records relating to the Interior University Society and the Implementation Planning Group (for the proposed University of Northern British Columbia), including correspondence, minutes, briefs, proposals, and committee and program files. Although a correspondence series was created, correspondence in the form of letters and memos are found in all series.

This collection consists a nearly complete collection of issues of the UNBC student newspaper "Over the Edge" dating from its first newsletter type issue from 1993 onwards. This includes the first volume of the bi-monthly complimentary arts magazine "Edge".

Issues contain articles, photographs, letters, and editorials dealing with university life, politics on campus and university events, entertainment and news. As well, local Prince George events and some national and international events pertaining to student life are also included.
