Field crosses midground, forest in background. Horse is not visible in image. It is believed that this photograph was taken near Kispiox, B.C.

Each child is dressed in white and seated on different level of steps. In descending order: Ellen, Violet, Lucy, and Dixon. Handwritten annotation on recto of photograph: "Violet Lucy and Dixon".
