Personal Records

Series consists of day planners and journals, a scrapbook from Weller's time at Lakehead University, photographs and birthday cards for his 50th birthday and other material not involved in Weller's academic research or teaching positions.

Women in Power Project

Series consists of correspondence, contracts, manuscripts and a memorandum pertaining to the Honourable Iona Campagnolo's involvement and contribution to a group publication tentatively titled All of Us: Women in Canadian Power and Politics that was scheduled for publication by Random House Canada Ltd. This project was ultimately disbanded and the resulting manuscript was never published.

Series consists of speeches, memoranda (which include: itineraries, seating plans, agendas, speaking orders, participant lists) correspondence, event programs, invitations, newspaper clippings, background material, list of regrets, agendas by calendar month and ephemera pertaining to The Honourable Iona Campagnolo's duties and responsibilities as Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.

Joint UNDP / FAO Agricultural Programme Mission

Series consists of lists of names of Mission members, memos and notes by Mr. Williston concerning the forest industry in Indonesia, correspondence, a brochure, miscellaneous textual materials concerning the purpose and objectives of the trip, and the Mission’s final report.

Columbia River Treaty

Series consists of photocopies of the memoranda of agreement, memos and notes made by Mr. Williston, two reports (one of which is a published copy of the Treaty, maps) brochures, a speech, miscellaneous printed materials and newspaper clippings.

Series comprises objects and ephemera related to the Interior University Society including Society sweatshirts, brochures, a scrapbook, campaign buttons, campaign bumper stickers, appointment books, an address book, corporate seal, invitations, bank deposit stamp, telephone stickers, guest book, IUS membership forms, receipts and computer disks, all circa 1989-1990.

Miscellaneous Material

Series consists of a typed euology prepared by Bob Harkins on the occassion of Jack Carbutt's funeral, as well as an associated Remembrance Card for Mr. Carbutt - both items dated Aug. 25, 1990. Also, present is 1 videocassette of a CKPG-TV interview of Lorna Carbutt (daughter of Jack) discussing the transfer of her father's audio reel collection to the Northern BC Archives and Special Collections in 2000.

Series consists of materials related to the oral history related by to Debbie Nowak by Allan and Gladys Thorp. Includes four audio recordings, each of which has an accompanying copy.

Correspondence

Series contains correspondence created or received by Barry McKinnon. Includes the correspondence of prominent Canadian literary authors including Margaret Atwood, Michael Ondaatje, and Brian Fawcett, as well as many other northern BC authors and poets. Also includes business correspondence with publishers, grant programs, and literary institutions.

Series contains records and promotional material related to literary and poetry readings attended by, performed by, or hosted by Barry McKinnon; writer's workshops and courses; and writer's conferences and events.

Teaching

Series contains records related to Barry McKinnon's teaching career at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George. Includes teaching material such as syllabi, curricula, and teaching notes. Also includes administrative records relating to McKinnon's teaching at the College, including records related to the controversy of his lay off from CNC and support received from the community to reinstate his position. Additional material consists of documents regarding the creation of the University of Northern British Columbia, the controversial need for a university in the North, and its clash with the established College of New Caledonia.

City records related to Island Cache

Series consists of copies of City of Prince George records photocopied and organized by Island Cache Recovery Project researchers. Includes incoming and outgoing correspondence between the city and Island Cache residents, legal real estate and building inspection documents for Island Cache properties, and reports regarding Island Cache (Cottonwood Island).

Series consists of research material collected for the Island Cache Recovery Project. Includes resources photocopied from participants in the study (particularly material collected by Bob Parris), including newspaper articles, photographs, and personal correspondence. Also includes research material gathered by the researchers from other sources, such as copies of maps, articles, and public records.

General

Series consists of general histories, statistics, and sources for railway subjects, which predominantly consist of photocopy reproductions and clippings from periodicals. Most documents are Canada-wide in scope.

Series consists of material regarding snow removal on British Columbia railways. Includes information about snow removal operations, snow removal equipment, and rotary snow plows.

Locomotives

Series consists of research material relating to steam and diesel locomotives that were used on British Columbia railways. Includes information about the steam to diesel transition period, details about specific locomotives, locomotive manufacturers, and self-propelled coaches.

Public Timetables

Series consists of public timetables for the Pacific Great Eastern Railway, BC Rail, the CNR, the CPR, the Great Northern Railway, the Burlington Northern Railway, and VIA Rail.
