He is visible in the shadows towards the left of the photograph and the left pump. Mr. Kilby's father acquired the store in 1902. The store was near historical Harrison Mills.

The ship also served in the Pacific as a survey vessel rom 1897-1910. After, it was sold as a Boys Naval Brigade ship in Vancouver.

Visible is a heavy portable 2 cylinder traction engine marked "Model K, 25 Horse engine No. 16320." Patented August 1906. Appears to have driven a small saw. Height of the saplings suggest that it had not been use for 5 to 15 years.
