Seel was later hired by the surveying company McElhanney in 1951 and worked there for forty years. The interview encompasses details from Seel's life and his memories of trapping and surveying.

Gill did a topographical survey of the Indian reserve for the Grand Trunk Pacific in 1912. Includes "Grand Trunk Pacific Maps" typescript document by Kent Sedgwick (3 June 1980).

Joseph Hunter was the first European to find and cross the Pine Pass. He was sent by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1877 to locate the pass. Hunter later represented Cariboo from 1871 to 1875 and from 1900 to 1904 and Comox from 1890 to 1898 in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.
