Photograph depicts a Rocky Mountaineer Jasper train that had just been propelled into the downtown Kamloops CN station. Once passengers de-trained, the empty train was pulled into R.M.R private trackage on K.I.R. for overnight stabling, cleaning, and restocking.

Photograph depicts relocated and relaid trackage that served a sawmill located at Lakeshore and Bay Street, at the north end of downtown Kelowna.The rail approach was then via Weddell. Two spurs on the left took chip cars while the two spurs on the right were for box cars filled with finished products.

Photograph depicts a disused depot at Ellis and Clement. Taken from Ellis, looking east. Tracks across Ellis had just been removed. Side walk was inserted and black top had been laid. The removal of the road crossing signals had yet to be done.

Photograph depicts what Davies noted to be a rare sight to be on a train. Visible are CPR way freight between Lumby and Vernon, travelling to Vernon. 31 of them built at CPR Angus shops in 1976. Only 10 survived at the beginning of 1997.

Photograph depicts a new CN overpass in Campbell Creek. Looking at new eastbound lane of the Trans Canada Highway. It was all paid for by the Provincial Department of Highways in order to convert the 2 lanes into 4 in order to improve visibility and stretch the highway.

Photograph depicts a BCR snow plow on a spur located opposite a former Squamish depot that was burned down. All the windows of the snow equipment in front of the plow were broken by vandals, so there was spare service for winter operations.

Photograph taken looking west towards a lake. Davies notes that the reason for this visible particular configuration is that the CNR and the CPR yards used to be west of Ellis. At the time the photograph was taken, such land was needed for better development, e.g. hotels, high rise residences, sports area, etc.
