File consists of material relating to the Pacific Great Eastern Railway Company. Chartered as a private company in 1912 as the Pacific Great Eastern Railway (PGE), the company was acquired by the BC provincial government in 1918. In 1972 it was renamed as the British Columbia Railway and in 1984 it took on its present name of BC Rail. Materials include newspaper clippings, a report, correspondence, maps, a brief, reproductions of articles, a booklet, and a proposal. Highlights include:

File contains a copy of Northwood Pulp and Timber Limited, Prince George & Houston, Sawmill Division publication “Company Rules and Safety Regulations” May 1979; two Northwood Pulp and Timber Ltd. purchase orders; and an “Agreement between Northwood Timber Limited, Eagle Lake Sawmill, Prince George Sawmill, Shelley Sawmill, Upper Fraser Sawmill, Logging Division and International Woodworkers of America, Local 1-424,” September 1, 1972- August 31, 1974.

File contains slides depicting logging and equipment. Most appear to be locations around Prince George.

Collection consists of 140 photographs pertaining to the life and pursuits of James Joseph Claxton over the course of sixty years. Subject areas identified within this collection include: quartz and placer mining in the Cariboo; Kingcome Village; the Royal Irish Contabulary; Roderick's Jewelers, New Westminster; the "M.S. Columbia III"; Kwakiutl petrographs in Fort Rupert; totem poles at Alert Bay; and the Salmon Arm Boy Scouts of Canada group.

Photographs depict different construction projects at separate locations in Cassiar. Photographs were originally housed in envelopes with the following annotations: "POLICE STATION. July 15, 1977."; "Aggregates and Concrete (PERMASTEEL)"; "Fibre Storage and Handling"; "Powerhouse Expansion"; "Sewage Collection Plant."; "Sewage Treatment Plant"; "Single Person Accommodations - Site Work."; "Outside Work - Camp Nos. 1,2,3." Photos generally feature the work sites, supplies, vehicles, machinery, and work in progress at each location.

Additional photographs integrated into file include maintenance project on lining of tubes, lining of aspiration hood, and lining of willow fiberizer. Also five photographs of maintenance in the townsite to fix in ground piping.

File consists on research on Thomas Ernest Edward (T.E.E.) Greenfield who spent time in the Pacific Northwest as an RCMP officer, gold miner, pharmacist, and construction worker between the years of 1926-1939. Materials include correspondence between Greenfield and L'Heureux, a manuscript, newspaper clippings, and a book. Highlights include:
