Series consists of 5 booklets that outline safe loading practices of various materials onto railcars.
File contains 5 booklets issued by the Association of American Railroads. Titles of booklets are as follows: Rules Governing the Loading of Road Grading, Road Making, and Farm Equipment Machinery on Open Top Cars; Rules Governing the Loading of Department of Defense Material on Open Top Cars; Rules Governing the Loading of Steel Products Excluding Pipe on Open Top Cars; Rules Governing the Loading of Miscellaneous Commodities on Open Top Cars; Handling Collisions and Derailments Involving Explosives, Gasoline and Other Dangerous Articles – Recommended Good Practice.
The Prince George Railway & Forestry Museum Society Collection consists primarily of textual, photographic, and cartographic records related to the regional developments of the railway industry in Northern BC. A predominant portion of the collection is made up of material from the Canadian National Railway; other railways represented include the Pacific Great Eastern Railway, the British Columbia Railway (BC Rail), the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, the Grand Trunk Railway, the Intercolonial Railway, and the Okanagan Express. Significant geographical areas covered include Prince George, the Peace River Region, Terrace, Bulkley Valley, Hazelton and Prince Rupert.
The forestry industry is represented in the collection with operational and financial records from Fyfe Lake Sawmill Ltd., which operated southwest of Prince George in the 1950s.
The collection has been organized into series according to creator, each of which also has been arranged to subseries, file and item level, where applicable. This collection consists of eight series, as follows:

The Grand Trunk Railway and Grand Trunk Pacific Railway series consists of administrative records, correspondence between railways, and ephemera. Also consists of maps and technical drawings depicting Grand Trunk Railway and Grand Trunk Pacific Railway rail lines and structures.
Subseries contains material relating to the administrative functions of the Grand Trunk Railway, including financial records.
The British Columbia Railway (BC Rail) series consists of promotional ephemera material, employee time tables, fare rates and multiple forms, used and unused, pertaining to daily train movements and BCR operations. Several employee manuals, employee examination material, employee seniority listings, and union agreements are also contained within. Three plans detail various BC Rail sites.
