Manager's Progress Photographs

This file contains photograph from early construction of Cassiar Mine and townsite. Photographs were stapled to inter-office correspondence paper and sent with pages of photo descriptions. Photographs have been removed and rehoused, maintaining original order.

Consists of a photograph album that contains 224 photographs that depict Parker Bonney's early years as a Forest Engineer. Includes photographs of the expedition to the Nass Valley undertaken by Parker Bonney, Sam Brown, and others. May also include photographs of later surveying expeditions. Also includes three photographs of the University of Washington rowing team, of which Parker Bonney was a member between 1909 and 1913.

File consists of an original 1909 provincial publication entitled "British Columbia, the Mineral Province of Canada, being a Short History of Mining in the Province, a Synopsis of the Mining Laws in force, Statistics of Mineral Production to Date, and a Brief Summary of the Progress of Mining during 1908". Includes inset plates and pull-out graphs.

Timber License No.2109

File consists of a timber license originally issued in Victoria 19 October 1911 by the Government of the Province of British Columbia, department of Lands, through the Land Act and Amendments to Frederick Ormes, Administrator of the Estate of Susan (?) Ormes. Additional attached licenses subsequently issued in 1919, 1951 and 1953.

Files contain a grade six report card, high school entrance certificate, certificates of appointment to various positions, a photocopy about the Dow Family, a map of the Cariboo District, Judge Ferry’s law degree from the University of British Columbia, his Law Society diplomas and his certificate of appointment to the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Images also include warships, freighters, automobiles, railway stations and trains, and some photographs of Yokohama, Japan and California ca.1924-25. Includes photographs of the 1924 Special Service Squadron World Cruise in Vancouver. Each photograph is accompanied by a handwritten description glued below or beside the image and each image is glued to the album page at its corners. The verso of front cover has a handwritten name plate:

File contains a memoir, a citizenship certificate, a driver’s license, a memorial invitation card, a garden party invitation card, a Registration Certificate, a document related to real estate and insurance, copies of correspondences of 1928 from E. Whiteaway and co. addressed to Miss D. Summers, partial copies of a report card, a letter from Eugene School addressed to D. Summers, and two photographs.
