Handwritten annotation on verso reads: "August 9 1908 Hopping[sic] this will find you all well with kind regards. [illegible]. C Mouat." Postcard is addressed to: "Miss Jemima Colvin Rosedale Farm Cowichan Station B.C." Verso affixed with a one cent Canadian stamp. Postmark on verso reads: "Prince Rupert BC Au 9 08."

Dear Father, This is a 'bird's eye view' of our main street - ha! ha! some class alright. We live right behind the bakery lunch room on the right hand side of the picture, on 1st avenue, some people eh? Will be moving to Cassiar Ave soon. How are all the folks. Mae is writing. Peace. M."

Handwritten annotation on verso reads: "Aug 18th. The cor. of the High bldg. on the right is the Prince Rupert Hotel. Front side is other way 5 stories high at [illegible] Hotel is in the next block. Notice [??] at the back is al-the [sic] lots of Hill leading down to Shops [??]. St. James' Hotel close by Prince Rupert was 5 stories high. For sure had [??] chimneys on it- a big fire engulfed [??] it about a year ago and it is being taken down. I must go & work bye bye. Love Dady. Psalm 46-1 & 48-14 was my AM verses specially."

Handwritten annotation on verso reads: "55 Avenell Road, N. 29-2-'08 I wanted to write you a letter, but have had suck a lot to do, I find there isn't time before Prayer meeting; and as I haven't been able to go to P.M. for the last three weeks, I am sure you won't mind just for this once. Here is a p.c. of Canada which I promised you; don't you think it is pretty? Things are going on pretty well now; mother is better & Daisy- well, I never saw SO much improvement in anyone in one short week. As much love as if this were the longest letter I have ever written you, from Effie." Postcard is addressed to: "Mis J.G. Grafton "Belmont" Tividale Road, Tipton, Staffs." Verso is affixed with a British halfpenny green stamp and canceled with a postmark that reads: "Highbury S.O. 915 PM Fe 29 08."
