              Postcard depicts the Illecillewaet Valley, near Glacier, BCThe view shows the end of the descent over Rogers Pass, if travelling westerly. The scar in the foreground was believed to be the track between the 1st (Glacier Hotel) and 2nd (Loop Brook) loops.

              Postcard depicts Glacier House and Great Glacier House built in 1886 as one of three similar hotels, the other two being Mt. Stephen House in Field, and Fraser Canyon Hotel in North Bend. Business fell off rapidly in 1916 when tracks were relocated into a new tunnel. Buildings were demolished in 1930.

              Photograph depicts the Connaught Tunnel. Traffic was normally eastbound through it, while westbound traffic went through the new Mt. Macdonald Tunnel.

              Photograph depicts the western portal of the 1916 Connaught Tunnel. The tunnel used to be double tracked, but was singled in the 1960s in orde to take piggy-back/container traffic. Curiously, the switch to the single was inside the tunnel.
