          Photograph depicts three long panabode buildings behind trees across from ball park. Power lines and other buildings visible in background. The winter bunkhouses contained double occupancy rooms with a common bathroom, and were distinguished from the summer bunkhouses which were generally considered less accommodating (see item 2000.1.1.3.19.84).

          File contains photographs depicting an award night that took place in the late 1950s or early 1960s in the old panabode Recreation Centre at Cassiar B.C.. Photos feature groups of people posed with trophies, a family posed together, a large group on stage, the audience, and musicians including individuals with a trumpet, saxophone, guitar and violin. Fred Murray (early Cassiar staff member) is featured in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th photograph.

          Subseries consists of photographic material pertaining to the following subject areas: mine operations; plant operations;labour strike 1970s images; townsite operations of the company towns of Cassiar and Clinton Creek (including community activities associated therein and townsite development); as well as, images of mines not owned by Cassiar Asbestos Corporation, but which are believed to have been used for operational research purposes.

          File includes six aggregations of photographs which have been assembled in this file in order to maintain the integrity of each group by keeping the photos arranged together, though each group features operations pertaining to multiple files in this subseries. Includes groups featuring photos from 1961, 1965 1971, a helicopter trip, a community album, and a workplace album. Photographs depict images pertaining to the following operations at Cassiar, B.C.: mining, milling, maintenance, labratory tests, and tramline and town operations. Images featuring operations of the company town include the grocery store, bank, churches, school, library, lounge, pool, theater, community center, outdoor recreation, hospital, dentist, cafeteria, bus route, residences, air strip, firehall, laundromat, park, police, and newspaper.

          Corresponding note on accompanying photo description page: "7. Temporary buildings. First building is the cookery. Looking south." Photograph depicts numerous wood buildings down the left of snow-cleared dirt road, each with a small porch. The office and bunkhouse are also among the buildings (see item 2000.1.1.2.305). Wood piles lie in front of cookery, dump truck and dog can be seen at end of road, and another building is semi-visible on right. Tree-covered mountainside in background.
